This young and talented rider was born in Conil de la Frontera in 1997. In 2016, Marcos made his debut in the World Motorbike Championship starting with from mid-season with the Platinum Bay Real Estate Team, showing immediately great competitiveness and talent.For year 2017, Marcos won German GP at Sachsenring and Valencia GP at Circúito Ri cardo Tormo.
The rider will finish in 8th position in 2017 Moto3 World Ranking. He represents a strong contender for year 2018: ‘I am very happy indeed – he says approaching Championship – this is a big step forward for me in my career and now I finally realized the dream to be on the track among the best Riders in the world’.
Jaume Masiá hails from Valencia in Spain and after starting racing at the age of five, he quickly ascended through the ranks to win the Spanish 140cc Championship just three years later, alongside the Valencian 150cc title. He would continue this promising form in road racing to claim sixth in the Spanish PreMoto3 Championship in his debut year of 2013 before landing a ride in the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup for the following season.
After a year in the Moto3™ Junior World Championship in 2016 Masia moved to the Valencian-run Cuna de Campeones outfit for the following season and was quick immediately, eventually claiming two victories in Aragon and Valencia at the end of the year. Mid-way through the season, Masia was called up to by our Team to replace the injured Darryn Binder at the Austrian Grand Prix; showing himself to be a quick learner, he finished ninth on his World Championship debut and we have signed him immediately for a full-time ride in 2018 and 2019.
